hello everyone,

Yesterday RP had it's very first Ultimate Republic Challenge.
50 teams,
5 champions and
1 ULTIMATE CHAMPION.

My team, Tennis Zai^4 consisted of Ernest, Longsheng , Edmund and myself.

The objective was to complete 23 stations in the fastest time, or most number of made attempts in 2 hours. It was actually to familarize ourselves with the newly built sports complex. The stations were basically those of the sporting IGs, from basketball, netball, soccer, floorball, tennis and to astronomy, canoeing, and so on.

With the adrenaline pumping everyone was all geared up in their sporting attire and the Ultimate Republic Challenge shirt. The horn sounded at 5.50pm to signal the start, it was a dash to the sports complex.

By 7.50pm the horn sounded again to signal the end of the challenge. I reckon the best station was floorball whereby mark seow commended on my shooting. muahahaha. We completed all but one station which we totally forgot and that was biking.

There were anxious faces as everyone gathered at the viewing gallery for the results to be tabulated and announced. The organisers mentioned it was going to be a half an hour wait but it turned out to be double that. However, to keep the voices and spirits up, there was entertainment on show for us. Sheikh sang a tune and flexed his muscles, there was a swim off whereby the dragonboat guy with all his muscles and cutting lost to a girl in the pool.

The moment finally arrived as the results were tabulated and finalized. Tennis Zai^4 came out champions of group D. It was totally unexpected. However, more soon followed as we were announced the ULTIMATE REPUBLIC CHALLENGE CHAMPIONS!! nyehehehe!
Wide smiles were plastered on our faces as we collected our medals and the champion trophy.

and like what ernest would say, ' tennis strikes gold, yet again'. sweettttttttt!

C'MON!
